Meeting and discuss the project

Thank you for coming for our service. A first meeting is very important to help the work proceed smoothly. At there, Moment architects will discuss with the client about customer’s requirement, vision and their concern, in order to make the work goes well, and to clarify the worry of the output and details in their property.

The information client needs to provide us:

  1. Client’s age, interest and requirement
  2. Their property (area, building property, surrounding, etc)
  3. Number of user
  4. Client’s purpose
  5. Client’s view of art and design
  6. Techical design and finance advisor and

After consulting solutions, customer and architect will come up to an agreement of:

  1. Design style
  2. Material
  3. Client’s need and investment
  4. Design fee

Site survey

Site survey is fundamental before starting the design process. What architect will do in this step:

  1. Study the property, space and dimension and location of electrical and plumbing application.
  2. Redraw the space, with precise dimension and level of space, column and beam.
  3. Inspect the furniture, decoration and current material to consider whether to reuse or not.

Signing the contract

If two parties had discussed carefully and client want to proceed the work, Moment will create a contract, which will mention clearly: 

  1. Design fee
  2. Work item(s)
  3. Design style
  4. Milestones
  5. Payment method
  6. Special offer (if available)

Design floor plan

After the contract is pulled, architect will draft the initial 2D layout, which will show:

  1. Zoning the area and placing furniture.
  2. Mood board (design style, material and theme).
  3. Dimension of furniture and decor.
  4. How zoning wall, furniture and decor interact with structure and electrical switch and fixture.

From this, client can understand the current status of their property and how it will be after the design. After some modification and arrangement, when the design is study carefully, architect will draw in detail.

Present the concept design

When the 3D design is ready, Moment architect will meet the client to present the concept design:

  1. Illustrate the design based on client’s vision
  2. Visualize the property in post-design
  3. Suggest the material being used in the design

Moment will revise the design 3 times for free

Shop drawing after the 3d design is finalized

After the client is satisfied with the 3D design, Moment will start working on the construction drawings.

  1. These drawings will include:
  2. Floor plan with detail placement of space and furniture with dimension and list.
  3. Furniture and item’s property.
  4. Color code
  5. Floor and ceiling finish floor plan (if needed)
  6. MEP drawings
  7. Furniture detail drawings

And some special documents based on building type: villa, condo, townhouse, etc:

  1. Construction permit document
  2. Construction guideline document

All of details will be detailed specifically.

Construct estimation

Moment will create construct estimation of different categories based on the construction drawing, which comprises:

  1. Cost of material and worker
  2. Kitchen and appliance, detail such as knob, hinge, rail, etc
  3. Decoration
  4. Lights
  5. Client’s personal order
  6. Price of furniture construction items.

The drawings and estimation will be gathered and merged into a complete document and sent to customer as both physical and soft copy. After the design process is completed, we will move to the construction stage.
